Well, Bayreuth was great fun. The baroque theatre is really something... huge actually. It was a strange last performance as I suddenly found myself singing one number for an ailing colleague, and not just from the side with a score, but inventing an entirely new blocking on the hoof. Went off to see the Festspielhaus with mum and dad who visited and we stayed with dear friends in Nurnberg. More in a moment. but queue here so more later... now in Croatia doing chamber music with brook street band. Great therapy after slight summer burn out.
